The second annual Orillia Film Festival is in the planning stages, but already it will be bigger than last year with the addition of a second night of films. ”We really wanted a chance to showcase all the great local talent without missing out on the superb international submissions. We had to add a second night to do it all”, said festival director Tim Hillson. With over 80 submissions from 14 countries last year and room for only 23 films on the presentation night, a lot of great films went unseen. ”The Orillia night will be on October 3, and the open night will be in the Opera House on October 4. I think that each night will offer a unique vibe and will be great entertainment based on what we saw last year”, added Hillson. Tickets are not yet on sale but when they are they will be available on the Opera House website at www.orilliaoperahouse.ca for $8 or $10 at the door. Last year over 300 people watched a great show with over a dozen original film makers in attendance.
